Ten collectors, six secretaries transferred

BHUBANESWAR: Two weeks after Jugal Mohapatra took over as the chief secretary, 10 district collectors and six department secretaries in the state were transferred on Monday.

The state government notified new postings for 29 IAS officers, with Vipin Saxena appointed ashome secretary, replacing U N Behera, who took over as additional chief secretary (finance) recently.

Khurda collector Roopa Mishra was made the project director, NRHM and MD of Odisha Medical Corporation. Jharsuguda collector Niranjan Sahoo would replace her. Guha Poonam Kumar will succeed Sahoo in Jharsuguda. Sundargarh collector Roopa Roshan Sahoo will be Dhenkanal collector. V Jaya Kumar will join as Nuapada collector, while Kandhamal collector B S Poonia take over as Sundargarh collector and B Parameswaran as Balasore collector.

Bijay Ketan Upadhyaya will be new Kalahandi collector, N Thirumala Nayak the Kandhamal collector, D Prasanth K Reddy as Balangir collector, Shyam Sundar Nayak as Deogarh collector.

Sangram Kesari Mishra was made the principal secretary (public grievances and pension administration), while steel and mines secretary Rajesh Verma was shifted to agriculture. C J Venugopal will be secretary (rural development). Gudey Srinivas will take over as secretary, steel and mines.

D N Gupta will be the commissioner (consolidation).
