As the counting for general election is scheduled to be held on May 16, all the candidates have already discussed with their agents who will be sitting on the counting table. Meanwhile, the training for the counting process to the Government officials has started here. As the final result is all set to be declared, the candidates have once again started spending sleepless nights and sitting with fingers crossed in the day time pondering whom they will support to form the State Government.

Analysis reveals that all the three parties, BJD, BJP and Congress, are cent percent confident among themselves to win the MP election. It does not end here. Other parties are also confident of winning the election.

The BJD is confident that all BPL and APL voters have cast their votes in favour of the ruling Government and the party is assured of pulling Congress votes too as MP candidate Subash Nayak has jumped from Congress to BJD.

Whereas Congress candidate Bhakta Das is confident of getting large number of votes from APL and BPL families, reports confirm that the poor people might not have voted the Congress as they have been refrained from getting Rs 2-a-kg rice. However, other major issues of general public like lack of health, infrastructure, water and electricity are making Congress confident. Similarly, BJP is also confident of victory with a record 15 years in Kalahandi as the winning party.

This time aspirants of almost all major parties jumped to other parties like monkeys when they were denied party tickets. Most of the aspirants who didn’t jump to other parties tried their best to defeat their own candidates hiding themselves under a roof. The party president has also ousted them in the last fifteen days after polling and few were also served notice for their anti-party activities.

Besides all the above, one fact has also made these candidates confident of themselves as the highest percentage of polling was recorded in the district of Kalahandi. This is also one of the reasons that all of them have hoped the highest percentage of votes have gone to their parties. But nothing can be predicted now till the declaration of poll results.
