For Satyabrat Sahu KBK is high on his agenda.
Mr.Sahu the 1991 batch IAS officer has taken over as the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) Southern Division on August 22.
Just after taking over he talked to media and said top priority will be given for the developmental activities of KBK.
The southern division controls six out of eight districts of KBK. Those are Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Nuapada.
Mr.Sahu said that transparency in the grass root administration will be maintained.
He said that all the field officers will have to cover the villages and accordingly monthly visit plan will be prepared.
Now a day few officers are moving out of their office to visit the villages.
Mr.Sahu has a reputation of a hard working and touring officer.
True to his reputation after taking over he left for Koraput in the afternoon.
Reports from Koraput say that on reaching the district headquarters the new RDC held discussions with the Koraput Collector Balakrishna Sahoo and SP U Rama Rao.
The RDC impressed upon both of them to make field visits to the Maoist prone areas, where development is a casualty, said sources.
Mr.Sahu will be reviewing the developmental activities at Koraput along with the Chief Administrator KBK, Ms.Rajalakshmi on August 23.
