Rourkela , Mar 13 Kosala Kranti Dal (KKD), a regional party based in western Orissa, today decided to contest six Lok Sabha and 41 assembly seats in the coming polls with an agenda of"formation of Kosala state".Announcing the decision of the party aiming to form a separate state comprising ten districts of western Orissa, its Secretary General Baidyanath Mishra told PTI here that initially it had been decided to fight the general election alone.
KKD may go for adjustment with political parties with one aim of their support for a separate statehood, he said.
Mishra said the names of the candidates for different constituencies would be announced next week.
KKD will contest Lok Sabha seats like Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Bargarh, Mishra said.
The assembly seats will be contested in the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Nuapara and Kalahandi, he said.
