Mr Satya Ranjan Behera Candidate for Junagarh Assembly Constituency

I had the opportunity to talk with Mr. Satya Ranajan Behera, Samruda Odisha candidate in Junagarh Assembly constituency. Below is some of the information I collected from him over phone.

Mr. Satya Ranjan Behera left his job in automobile sector in Cuttack and returned back to Kalahandi to work for social cause. He has been fighting for bridge near Karchal for which a case was filed in Supreme Court. Since the case was developmental there was little scope in judicial system to interfere in Governance, the case was rejected (similar to a case filed in Supreme Court for Central University in Kalahandi by us). Since then he has been continueing in this regard and working locally for social development in the region. Later on he realized that without political power it is difficult to fight for local development. For his dedication he was invited by many political parties to work with them, but he choose Samruda Odisha because it promised him a party ticket and the party is giving maximum importance towards local infrastructure and other development which is of his interest. At this time he is highlighting major road improvement, bridge over Hati river near Karchala, over bridge near Junagarh, bridge over Udanti river near Mahaling (what we refer in our manifesto as Kegaon is more close to Mahaling, so it’s the same) and new irrigation projects in Golamunda and Jungarh blocks. He is also campaigning that once elected he will make sure global tendering process to improve the quality of construction and reduce corruption in the local level (this point was earlier raised by Biswamitra in our group saying that local contractors are more responsible for poor quality of the road, so this would be good thing if could be implimented) . He also promised to bring our manifesto by Kalahandia to the people and work for it even after the election. He is dynamic and well aware about local problems. As per him, he is getting good response during this time and he hope there is a good chance for him to win in this election.

He needs all your and family members support, specially, who vote in the Junagarh assembly constituency.

Our group wish him good luck and all the best for the election.

NOTE: Our group is non-political and members have equal right to express personal political opinion. Any of our members who think there is potentially a good candidate, please share with us, so that we know about him before choosing the right candidate. They are also welcome to express about the party they like to chose in this election.
