Mega radio serial Namaskar Kalahandi awarded 26 lucky winners among the listeners from Kalahandi, Balangir, Nuapada, Subarnapur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Nabarangpur districts at a function at Kalakendra Odissi Dance School here on Thursday .The serial, sponsored by the Vedanta Aluminium, Lanjigarh, is being broadcasted from Bhawanipatna station since Septemeber 9, 2008 on every Tuesday. Till date, it has completed 32 episodes out of 52. Glorious history of Kalahandi, its art, cultural heritage, social life, tribal and folk culture are emphasised in the popular serial written by Satyanarayan Mohapatra.District Collector R Santhagopalan was the chief guest at the fuction, while Assistant Station Director of the AIR Santanu Kumar Rath, VAL’s HRD head G Murugesh, Vedanta’s CSR head Samiran Sarkaar were the guests of honour.Anchor Minakshi Mohapatra, editor Prosenjit Dey, music composer Manoranjan Padhi, recorder SK Panda, title song singer Chidananda Panda were also felicitated. The programme was coordinated by artist Subhendu Kumar Mohapatra. Tapan Kumar Rath proposed the vote of thanks.
