KBK dists to get Science colleges, says Minister

One Science College each would be set up in all the districts under KBK areas. “The Science College would also be opened up in the existing Women’s College,” said Higher Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra in the State Assembly on Thursday.

Mishra further said that the State Government would take a decision regarding the opening up the Science College by the end of this month in Jeypur Government Women’s College. Giving reply to the queries of the members, he said there are eight government colleges in KBK areas.

“Due to the lack fund, it was earlier difficult to open a science college,” he said, adding that +3 Commerce College would open up in Bikram Dev College, Jeypur.

Participating in the discussion, Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh said Government should open up more govern-ment colleges in the KBK areas.
