Cong MLAs camp in Delhi, want KP, Bhupinder to go

A strong move is on to oust both KP Singh Deo and Bhupinder Singh from the posts of PCC president and Leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly, respectively.As many as 13 Congress MLAs have reached New Delhi to ventilate their grievances against the State’s two most important party office-bearers to the party high command.They are expected to meet AICC president Sonia Gandhi on Monday to discuss the issue after holding discussions with AICC in-charge of the State Gulam Nabi Azad, said senior MLA Santosh Singh Saluja, who is leading the young party MLAs who are said to be totally frustrated over the “dismal performance” of the Leader of Opposition.They alleged that Bhupinder Singh has behaved like a “joker” in the Assembly, for which the Opposition cut a sorry figure in the House during its just-concluded Budget Session. The MLAs now camping in Delhi to oust both leaders include Surendra Singh Bhoi, Subal Sahu, Prafulla Majhi, Rama Chandra Kadam, Yogesh Singh, Debi Prasad Chand, Gregory Minz, Bhujbal Majhi and Dushmanta Naik, among others.“We will impress upon the high command to bring changes in the system, which has failed to yield results,” said Surendra Singh Bhoi.
