Bhawanipatna: The BJD launched its membership drive programme here on Friday in Kalahandi on Gandhi Jayanti. The padayatra which flagged off on October 2 by the BJD members after garlanding the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Bhawanipatna town will continue till October 11 covering the entire district. Apart from Labour and Employment Minister Puspendu Singh Deo, former BJD MLA Balabhadra Majhi, former MP Subash Chandra Naik and former Minister Kiran Chandra Singh Deo were present in the padayatra.
