Cold wave in Odisha, snowfall in Daringbadi, Tensa

Interior Odisha continued to reel under cold wave on Sunday as minimum temperature at five major towns of the State has dipped below 8 degree Celsius. The temperature at Daringbadi in Phulbani and Tensa in Sundergarh has touched 0 degree Celsius. Snowfall has been reported in these two centres.
Meanwhile, the temperature in Phulbani is reported to be 4 degree Celsius, Sundergarh 5.9 degree C, Koraput 10.5 degree C, Sambalpur 6.5 degree C, Angul 6 degree C, Bhawanipatna 6.5 degrees C, Jharsuguda 7 degree C, Chandbali 9.8 degrees C, Bhubaneswar 11.3 degrees C and Cuttack 11.6 degree C.
“The temperature was appreciably below normal over interior pockets and below normal over coastal Orissa. The cold wave would continue for another 48 hours,” said an official of the city IMD office.
