We have earlier appealed to the state Government for encouraging thermal power plants in Kesinga, Junagarh and Dharamgarh as they have all necessary infrastructure except that long distance for coal transportation. We also had written to the CM on this matter. Though it was bit slow and late, still we are thankful to the state Government for realizing this possibility, we hope in the next round Junagarh and Dharamgarh regions could be considered as it will soon have train connection and has also available free land (Govt & forest) and unused water from Tel, Hati and Indravati project. Similarly, Steralite Energy could plan another thermal plant in Lanjigarh, Bhawanipatna or in above locations.
