The State Government has taken a decision to set up two medical colleges on the Public- Private Partnership (PPP) Mode, said Health and Family Welfare Minister Prasanna Acharya.
The Minister said a Delhi based organisation Sahayog Foundation of India had given a proposal to set up a 150 bed medical college hospital at Jagatpur and a 50 bed medical college hospital in Keonjhar.
The proposal regarding this has been approved by the Chief Minister. While Government will provide land for the college at Keonjhar at affordable rates, the organisation will buy private land to set up the college if Government land is not available. The Health Department would provide the no objection certificate after scutunising the infrastructure and other facilities set up by the organisation.
