There is no representation in the Rajya Sabha from KBK, specially from Kalahandi-Balangir region since past 10 -15 years. On an average KBK should have 2 Rajya Sabha members as it comprises 4 Lok Sabha seats. Place like Kalahandi was not represented since past 15 years.
Many people might not have realized that there are higly educated & intelectual people in the remote and ground who are not well exposed to the state media or internet but working for those regions contineously instead of lobbying in state capital. Those people rarely care about politics in the state capital and contributing towards development of KBK region in education, irrigation, infrastructure etc. One should send at least an intelectual from KBK region in the coming Rajya Sabha election. Are the political leaders listerning?
