A private email received on final report of the higher education task force, Orissa

Indeed, there are many shortcomings in the Final Report of the task Force of Orissa Higher Education. In general, it is crystal clear that western Orissa is being given less importance compare to Coastal zone.Moreover, the suggestion of the creation of Educational corridor is nothing but applying oil on the already oily hair. The task force did not give emphasis on the educationally backward areas, while marking the so -called E.corridor. There is no rationality about the "Corridor" like Ganjam - Koraput - Jaypur and Sambalpur - Jharsuguda and Rourkela. In former case, it is surcharged with maoist - naxlite volance. While selecting these two corridors, geographical factor was not considered.

Further, study of the report is necessary.
