Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid the foundation stone of a multi-specialist hospital under the National Non-Communicable Disease Control Programme in Nuapada recently. The hospital will provide care for all non-communicable diseases like heart , kidney, cancer etc and will benefit the poor people of the region immensely, said Patnaik, while addressing a gathering. The hospital will also take up awareness for prevention of such diseases by building the capacity of the all health service providers of the district. A Janausudhi shop in the premises of hospital was also inaugurated by the Chief Minister. Attending the meeting, Kalahandi MP Bhakta Charan Das said all the four programmes were schemes of the Central Government. He hoped that the schemes are implemented as per the mandate so as to benefit the people.
