Laying the foundation stone for the Technology Park building at Kusumkuti in Koksara block on Tuesday, Kalahandi ADM Chudamani Seth said women’s empowerment can be further strengthened when they would be economically sound and the Technology Park would guide them.

Supported by the Government of India Department of Science & Technology, national-level voluntary organisation Association of Voluntary Agencies for Rural Development (AVARD) in collaboration with the Nehru Seva Sangh (NSS) has started programmes for the SC and ST women of the block to provide them technological support on agriculture, horticulture, mushroom cultivation and Agarbati training for self-sustainability in the society.

While AVARD director RP Agrawal presided over the meeting, NSS secretary Sarojini Dash, treasurer Omprakash Agrawal and NARI secretary Pranjali Dei also spoke on the occasion.
