National BJP president Rajnath Singh and party’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will visit Odisha on April 2 and 4 respectively, to address public meetings in several Parliamentary constituencies going to polls on April 10.
Singh is scheduled to arrive in Kotpad under Nabarangpur Parliamentary constituency from Jagdalpur at 10.55 AM on Wednesday where he will address a public meeting at Bhairav ground. Padmanabha Majhi is the BJP candidate for Kotpad Assembly seat while Parsuram Majhi is trying his luck for Nabarangpur Parliamentary seat. After the Kotpad meeting, Singh will head to Bhawanipatna where he would address a public meeting for Lok Sabha candidate Pradeep Nayak at the Bhawanipatna College ground at 12.20 PM. His next stop is at Phulbani where he will campaign for Lok Sabha candidate Sukanta Panigrahi.
After addressing a public meeting there at 1.45 PM, the BJP chief will proceed to Berhampur. Singh will address the last public meeting of the day at the Nilakantheswar temple ground at 3.15 PM. After completing his election tour, Singh will fly to Bhubaneswar for a night halt and leave for New Delhi the next day. On the third leg of his visit to the State, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will arrive at Nuapada at 1.40 PM from Raipur on April 4 and address a public meeting. Later, Modi will fly to Bolangir to campaign for three-time MP Sangita Singhdeo.
He is scheduled to address a public meeting at the Police Reserve Ground at 3.15 PM. He will address the last public meeting of the day at Rourkela at 5.15 pm. Former Union Ministers Dilip Ray and Jual Oram are the party candidates for Rourkela Assembly and Sundergarh Parliamentary seats respectively.After Rourkela meeting, Modi will fly back to Ahmedabad at 6.15 PM.
