Polyclinic inaugurated

A polyclinic under Ex-Servicemen Health Scheme (ECHS), a central government financed programme to provide quality health service to ex-servicemen pensioners and their dependents, was inaugurated here today. 

The centre has sanctioned 426 such facilities to be set up across the country, including seven in Odisha, said Lt Gen J George, general officer commanding Madhya Bharat area, while inaugurating the polyclinic here. 

The polyclinic has been opened in a rented house andOdisha government has been requested to provide land and other infrastructure for smooth running of the clinic, he said.

Stating that Army would do whatever was possible for uplift of the youths of Kalahandi, George said considering the interest of youths of the district, Army recruitment rallies with pre-recruitment training would be organised utilising the service of ex-servicemen to help more youths make career in military service from the area.
