The decade-old Biju Patnaik College of Hotel Management, Tourism and Social Work here has emerged as an institute that brings excellent standards of teaching and infrastructure to its students at affordable rates.
Started as a centre to impart computer education to economically backward students, it has now become an institute offering PG level courses in hotel management, tourism and social work.
The institute is offering NCVT courses of the Government of India since 2004. Its experienced faculty and well-planned infrastructure are helping the students get opportunities even in star-rated hotels.
Recently, a Biju Patnaik College of Journalism, Social work and Yoga has come up under the same management. Both the institutes are offering free seats to students from lower economic status and also discounts on fees to women, handicapped and many others.
With the objective of helping the rural youth from lower economic and social strata, the management of the institute is planning to set up a Biju Patnaik Rural University very soon.
