Bhubaneswar, Jul 18 (PTI) The toll in rain related incidents in Orissa mounted to 28 with two deaths reported from Kalahandi district today even as rains lashed the entire state.
While a septuagenarian died due to wall collapse at the district headquarter of Bhawanipatna, another person was killed by lightning, official sources said.
Bhawanipatna experienced 6 cm rainfall in the past 24 hours, while Cuttack experienced 33 mm, Chandbali 62 mm and Paradeep 82 mm. Bhubaneswar was lashed by heavy rains since morning and received 18.9 mm till 5.30 pm today, met office sources said here.
