Bhubaneswar, Oct 7 (PTI) The Orissa government today constituted a task force to suggest a draft policy to make higher education in the state of international standard.
The 16-member task force, headed by former director of Institute of Physics Trilochan Pradhan, would study the present scenario in higher education in all sectors including medical, agriculture and industries, state Higher Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra said.
The task force would give suggestions to make higher education of international standard, keeping excellence and inclusion as focus areas, the minister said.
Besides suggesting a draft higher education policy for the state, it would also prepare two annual action plans for 2010-11 and 2011-12 and two five-year perspective plans corresponding to the 12th and 13th five-year-plan period up to 2021-22.
