Nov 14, 2009, Kalahandi: This year cotton farmers will face more problem then last year in Kalahandi. In Badchergaon & Borda area maximum cotton plants were damaged due to diseases, lake of irrigation or low rainfall. Till date agriculture people or sms cotton not visited effected areas. A single meeting held for cotton procurement a week earlier, but ended without making any decision for procurement. This year may be cci only purchase cotton in Kalahandi without having any competition in mandis farmers may also face distress sale this year..
