Bhawanipatna: The Vedanta Aluminium Limited commenced observation of the 38th National Safety Week at its Alumina Refinery Complex at Lanjigarh on Wednesday. It will be continued till March 10 with various activities promoting safety awareness among its employees. Senior officers and all the employees of the refinery took the safety pledge. Hoisting the National Safety Day flag, company’s chief operating officer Dr Mukesh Kumar said that occupational safety and health were integral parts of the company. He also appealed the employees to be concerned about the safety measure. This campaign led by AGM of Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Department Dr RC Rout is being spearheaded by the National Safety Council in collaboration with the HSE for nearly three decades to mark its Foundation Day.
